This lid is absolutely gorgeous. And you're right -- that third shot is unreal!! What era is this and where did you find it??
Thanks, Blue and to everyone else who has complimented this one.

Lounge member rclark was thoughtful enough to offer this guy to me earlier this year. It is the only Resistol that I own, and I agree with you, it is just a shockingly lovely hat (thanks again Rick!). The felt is very lightweight and buttery soft.

From what I understand, it is from the 40's. Below is Rick looking sharp under it back in the olden days (February, 2016 ;)) before it gave up its Texas domicile and migrated to the east coast. Hopefully, he will not disagree with my having published his likeness without express written permission.

I need to post more photos of it to the Resistol Roundup thread and maybe Homburg Nation. Haven't gotten around to it yet. Eventful year... Though, Rick may have done so before it left his hands. I'm just not sure.

Your D'Aquino is a beauty. It's just great to see another person with the "hombug" gracing the pages of the Lounge. You've got some real beauties!

Enjoy.

Matt

Not at all, Matt, other than those photos are prime evidence of how much better that beauty looks on you and how bad it looked on me!

That hommie is indeed a treasure and looks right at home on you Matt!

It's by Bert Paley, I suspect in the mid-70s.
