One of those happy flea market finds - a five dollar Borsalino. Purchased from the Kleinhans in Buffalo after the war, no Borsalino imprint on the sweatband.

Some people have all the luck! Nice hat!

We used to go all the time in the BK era. As college tuition fades into the sunset, we've ventured back again. It's still great fun, but the inventory is not what it was. Good hats are very rare. I've purchased three total - two lovely Borsalinos and a Hawes Von Gal straw boater... a lot of legwork for the rewards, but good exercise.

Yeah... My son and I really enjoy flea markets and thrift stores. I've found a couple of nifty hats, but nothing like those. Gonna keep on keeping my eyes peeled for those diamonds in the rough.

Not what hat I'm wearing today, but more of a follow up. It took the four day weekend, but I think I'm starting to find some breathing room in the garage.

This is 'my' side as the wife refuses to relinquish 'her' side. Though, I have no problems storing her HD on my side, as long as I get to ride it from time to time.

I feel a little guilty because I thought to have write you about the small plastic bag inside the G.B. Borsalino bowler with the historical reperts. When I realized i have not did anything for this purpose it was late in my mind.

Well, had I not thought of it, I would have had 5 more days to remember before the recycle truck came to empty the bin...something like this is certainly worth digging through the trash.
But, I'm happy that it wasn't necessary!

Thanks to all for the likes and nice comments on recent posts.
Today is sunny but chilly. Breaking in my new NOS Borsalino fuzzy. While brushing it, I had to resist the urge to ask it if it was a good boy who wanted a treat. It's that soft. And I already knew it was.

A side note about yesterday's fu Lazzaro...as I was about to head to the recycle bin with the box and packing materials Daniele sent the hats in, I remembered that there was "history" with the fu, so I looked through the box again (bad eyes and all...) and found this!

Good thing my memory still has its occasional moments or I may have tossed one of the cooler things about the piece.
