Wind gusts up to 50 mph and falling snow had our local schools and businesses closing early. Home early shoveling snow in a Monsivais Cap. No brimmed fedora could stay on my head in tonights winds.

Stay safe, Eric and everyone in this neck of the woods. They're even talking about your weather here in the northeast!
Stay IN, Bowlerman!

Crazy sweet cap and jacket! Lookin' great, Michael.

Thanks Matt. I was happy to find that cap, though I need another cap like I need, well, another hat. Ha ha. Apparently in the 1980s that company had a contract with Stetson. Hindered by my inability to read Norwegian I'm not sure exactly what it was about, whether making caps for them or being a distributor.

No kind of hat weather here today. Steady 21 mph wind. I don't know if the gusts to 50 mph we had yesterday are supposed to return. So a cap again.

And at 30 degrees plus the wind the Filson Double Mac can legitimately be in play.

That is a dandy looking Stetson Moon. Was it the Banger Brothers that had a little trouble with the law back in the 70s?

Have a great weekend all.

It's been quite blustery on our side of the pond too. If you want a fedora style hat to stay on your head Eric, you can borrow my safety helmet. It caused quite a stir when I wore it, for the first time, last night. There's an explanation about it on the Hawaiian Shirts - Aloha Shirts thread.

Thanks for the well wishes, but my neighborhood only received 4 inches of snow, but the 50 mph gusts made for treacherous travel.

Early morning picking up fallen branches and checking the law shore for other debris had me wearing a Monsavarias Cap.

Grocery store and shopping errands in a vtg.Adams homburg.

I wear this hat non-formal.

Back at cutting up limbs with a chain saw. Wearing a vtg. Adams Mainstreet. What I have not showed are my chainsaw, chaps, boots and safety glasses.

Cold and windy today;B!Wear cap.
I love that cap! Its colors threw me into a time machine.

I grew up in the D.C. area and my best friend had season tickets to the Redskins. So, in the olden days (the '80s [emoji6]) when the 'skins were perennial beasts, I used to go to six or so games a year at RFK Stadium. I got to see some great playoff games, too. What a blast that was! The old concrete structure would literally vibrate from the noise!

I suspect that the colors represent something different (if anything) to you, but I want to thank you for bringing me such happy memories this morning.

Stay warm.

Matt

Glad you are safe. Read that there have been fatalities. Quite the nasty early storm.

All hats are wonderful, but I want to comment especially on that Adam homburg. What a beautiful looking creation! It's just great to see that it gets casual use.

Simply... NICE!

Take care.

Matt, I too spent many a Sunday at RFK! Nothing like watching the Hogs and Riggo tear up the joint. Loved it when the bleachers would start rocking!! Not the same at FedEx.

Eric - Hope the cleanup goes well. My sister said they had about 6".

Could we get a closeup of the brim binding on that Adam Mainstreet?

Thanks,
Michael
