If someone off the street asks me about the hat I am wearing today, my geeked out response would probably leave them quite certain that I am unhinged (they'd be right, but that's for a post in some other forum [emoji39]).

In any event, going with the 1910s or early 1920s Cohn-Asher, ASCO Hats vented derby today. I previously wrote about the Cohn-Asher company in this post: http://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/the-bowler-or-derby-hat.32818/page-91#post-2053779
Its story is a fascinating glimpse into the establishment of the Jewish community in California.

Anyway, enough babbling from me...

The hat accompanied me to Colorado earlier this year and here (with some artistic license taken) it is visiting Red Rocks.

See what I mean... I'm just goofy about this hat.

Have a happy day, folks!

Third day of Borsalino production
It is really cold and in the night the temperature arrives until - 2,5 C° (27,5) F

It is only mid November, so today at noon I wear this Borsalino sold in Hamburg - Germany
11rvqk1.jpg

The proportions are the classic for EU market in the last decades
Brim at 5 cm. (2 inches) and crown at 11 cm. (4,33 inches)

Medium felt, very malleable with interesting shade of grey-blue
Wind trolley and the "Borsalino bow" with bounded brim in the same color of the ribbon

It was restored, with great attention, last year in Milan by Sergio Anzani - Cappelleria Melegari

The "lobbia in mirtillo" did great success. Thanks a lot
Very nice. I love the edge binding on the brim, finishes the hat.
