Again... Thanks to all for the kind wishes. I'm pretty well mended. Now... It's time to start working off some of the damned pounds I put on during the convalescence. Yippee.

Since Saturday is a traditional day of relaxation I'm going with one of my more informal hats. A 1950s C&K homburg sold through the Finchley Establishment in Chicago. With obligatory tie dye (of course).

A happy and fun day to you all.

Classic looking Homburg! I like it with a more casual look, you Rebel!

Today, I'm wearing this wonderful Antonin France navy blue Homburg. It's from about the late 1940's. I bought it along with 4 other great hats from FL member Daniele Tanto. I was only planning on buying two, but he had so many great hats, I just couldn't resist. He's a fantastic guy to deal with. Very patient and knowledgeable. Thanks Daniele :)

And some heavy wool Norwegian Army cargo pants. Trying to get up for a bike ride to the grocery, but it's not been a successful conversation with myself so far.

Love the jacket Michael.

Thanks Jeremiah. It's one of my favorites. In cold weather I'll wear it under a tweed jacket, but for this weather it's on the edge of too hot by itself.

Red - I'm not sure what the vintage is. It was made by Bob Allen Sportswear in Des Moines IA. They specialize in shooting gear, mostly for the sport shooting crowd I think. I suspect mid-60s at the earliest and early 2000s at the latest. Wool knit with leather accents and canvas in the front panels so that you can put shells in the pockets without bagging the sweater.

I'm really glad you are back Matt.

Thank you Daniele. I've been enjoying your fall wear and hats too. Very stylish.
