What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Wow look at you! SUPER! How are you? You sure look damned nice in that Fed IV! We still do not have a Fed IV...it should be on our to do list, but we have so many hats in our sights now, hard to find the gold and silver to pay for the addiction! Haha!

Hey folks!
Spent a while yesterday evening and today re-revamping my ca. 1950 Stetson 3X Beaver Quality long-napped finish (a.k.a. the Fuzzy Bunny, or in the parlance of today's impatient 140 character or less youth, the FuzBun). A new high class sweatband from Bond to replace the cheap reconstituted leather one that I had previously installed, and a new blue 1 1/2" cotton-rayon ribbon I found at a thrift store. Always check the sewing supplies... sometimes one gets lucky and finds the good stuff!

It's not a perfect sewing job, but it's a heck of a lot better than before,, the fit is now spot on, and it's a bit under 1/2 oz. lighter from the weight difference between a cheap sweat and a good one.
I'm also happy with my first frayed-end bow.

That looks so much nicer than a brown Fed, and I personally think the moonstone is much sharper looking then a hat that is a "Caribu" color.

I think that one looks super good! I like the contrast blue ribbon color. It sure makes that hat stand out!

Yesterday, my Tawny Fed IV, also under the rain, beautiful hat, but I do like the moonstone more, except when my Mom tolds me tawny suits me better.

You can't take any risk with mexican Moms

It looks almost like the Moonstone under bad light conditions
