Happy Derby Day! Not going to Churchill Downs; heading to a friend's Derby party instead. Wearing my super-soft Mallory (Aristocrat Quality). BTW, for those of who have never been to the Kentucky Derby, it might be the best venue of the year in the US for hat viewing--men's as well as women's!

I have to say that is great, you get a lot for your buck.

I have a Capricorn and a Zephyr in poly, you really cant tell its poly from a couple of feet away, both look great and perform better, maybe a little hard when brand new, but averall a much better hat than a Stetson poly Strat. You can work the brim easily and the hat never looses its form.

Also own a hemp Balmoral, what a hat !! Beautiful colour, great dimensions, fun to wear, and very soft and maleable for a hemp hat, best bang for your buck.

I have ordered a grey Capricorn and a Country Club in poly and a Reef in hemp, it am sure I will be very happy.

I have them sent with some felts from Sam at EA so the final price is very affordable and you get a great product at an extremely reasonable price !

Happy SatORday everyone!
Wearing my 3XB, now much cleaner than before. When I got it, it had a lot of dirt and grime and various stains and signs of use. I got most of the surface dirt off, but it had a very noticeable ring around the center of the brim. I tried to think of it as character, but more often thought of those "ring around the collar" commercials. So, I dismantled it, dry (Coleman's) cleaned it, then a warm water Woolite wash. Got rid of all but a tiny bit of the soiling, and made the brim softer, less like a Western and more like a fedora. Original ribbon has a few nicks and dings, and a spot or two, but I kept it on anyway.

I like it much better with less crud.
