I can't recall ever seeing him wearing a fedora. One of the channels over here is re-running the episodes in bundles of four or five. At this point Blake has crashed, and Cl. Sherman Potter is in charge ... kinda!

Loved the original movie ... still love the series

That scene, where he's on his way out, is the only one I know of where he's not wearing his fishing hat. I always liked that hat, even before I was "into" hats/fedoras. That shot of me above where my back brim appears turned down reminded me of his, as he wears it down all the way around. His ribbon's a little thinner, but it looks very similar to this one.

There it is again. Color and symmetry. That hat just suits you.
