I knew that cutting the brim on this Resistol would bring Joao back! Good to see you are well.
Thanks Bama, 1mach1, mmbarnes and Fruno. I think it may not have fit had I not dried it on a block. As it was, I had to pounce off a lot of felt just to get it to take a decent pinch, as the shrinking seems to have caused the already heavy Western weight felt to thicken. Worth the effort, though!

I've developed another problem. The wife, a 6 7/8, has begun a modest collection. I have found her a couple of nice lids at good prices, and I'm living vicariously through those purchases. She has a nicer OR than I have, and a great Lee mid ribbon I found her for $10.
This may prove to be a bad thing...

So many great hats today, as always. Back to the Stetson 25 today. I love this hat. This pic got me to thinking about Harv's comments on his Dickies shirts, which I'm a big fan of by the way. I can"t remember ever posting a photo wearing any shirt other than a pearl snap western shirt, most in various shades of blue with the occasional white one or plaid Pendleton. I was leaving the house this morning and the missus said that I looked nice. I responded with a thank you and said something to the effect that it's just a different shade of the same uniform. Just like Fruno's signature line says.

Looking sharp, OP. What kind of hat is that?

Here's a pic of me last time I dressed up (last Saturday). It was a nice day, first nice one since winter.
Wearing my second hat ever, a nicer gray fedora. I love the soft material. $22, not bad.
I've got some other hats in mind, but they are one money level up, so holding off for now.

Can't see the hat too well in the picture, but I have another I will upload soon.
