Tirad felt finish mélusine (Feutre à l'aspect de fourrure, caractérisé par ses poils longs et souples)

Anthracite gray with a good variation of shades to the sun's rays

It was made probably in the 50's in France

today this Tropp the Hatter piece that used to belong to Steve and found its way to me via Lounge member Rabbit.
the Tropp brothers were a custom hat making family originally from Austria/Poland who landed in Philadelphia and Newark NJ.
This hat has a beautiful felt and lots of custom by hand details.
also a felted edge a la Cavanagh and Mode

Love the Stetson 25, Perry!

Stetson OR today. Back to the Cattleman's crease so I can feel my Texas roots.

Dave, every self-respecting Texan that is a hat wearer needs to have an Open Road with a cattleman crease. Way to represent!

I've had this for a while now. I like the hat—a lot, in fact. Could be my favorite, except my particular pet peeve with modern Stetson's has reared it's head—again. The tack stitches are absolutely abysmal. I've never seen worse. I'm waiting on the missus to have a go at them.
