Thanks Moon, for both compliments. I appreciate both.

On your mystery man comment I work from contract to contract under a confidentiality agreement with language concerning the use of social media accounts, Internet identity, what I do, etc and I have a retinal scan on file. I don't have any social media accounts & I'm careful of my online activities. Depending on what one does for a living that will probably become somewhat more common in the future.

I understand

I have been under contract in the past where I was required to delete my forum accounts and certain social media accounts

and these were only music industry contracts

So I was standing in my hat room staring at stacks of boxes not feeling the usual inspiration that makes me gravitate toward a specific piece ... So I figured it was just a knit winter hat day.
On my way out of the room without even breaking stride I reached out and grabbed the BGG CD off the wall.

I'd almost forgotten how much I love this hat .... Almost

Today I've brought my Knox (or so I suspect it to be) OR clone:

CAM00398.jpg CAM00397.jpg

According to what people here have suggested, the logo on the liner, "Moveo et Proficio," marks it as a Knox. I dunno. When I purchased a similar hat on eBay, the seller wrote to me saying that hat had been mangled by moths -- and so he sent me this one, no charge.

It could probably use a cleaning and a reblock to a squarer profile; but it's comfortable, and dressy as it is.

I love it too! Dang it, now I'm thinking of re-bashing mine!

your MB CD is what inspired me to rebash this one ... these hats take this bash so well ... I mean the BGG specifically

it has a completely different feeling felt than any other CD or Akubra period that I own

Gentlemen, I can't keep up. I need a couple of days free from work and chores to devour all the great hats and styles I'm seeing.
Dlaniger that Barbisio is unique indeed, very cool.
Love the crease on the Mallory Tommy.
Paul, the Knox looks great, it has character.
Anthony that is one sharp crease, literally. Great job.
Jaunty you're dapper as always, love the tie.

Waiting for a very slow order of vegetable dumplings I was reminded of a conversation overheard at Ratner's many years ago. You just have to supply the Jewish accents.

guy1: Do you like dumpling?
guy2: I dunno... I never dumpled.

Late 1930s Stetson No.1 quality purchased from our old lounge friend Zetwal. I wonder how he's dumpling?

not everyone can pull off a black hat ... very similar to the way not everyone can pull off a canary yellow hat

you my friend can pull off a black hat

... and that has to be a double order because I've never seen that many dumplings in one order .... OY!!!!

superb bash Bolero

a strat with a wide ribbon slightly hurts my soul ... but that is one good looking piece

Thanks Anthony...I had Henry the Hatter of Detroit add a Hook Around Band over the Spotted and Stained Thin Ribbon original and I like it better than the TR anyway...The Bash and Crown go easily anyway I like and it Holds really well, thanks to VitaFelt...
My new Mission is to find a Tan or Lt Brown or Sand Strato in VitaFelt
I have a 1940's like new Tan Strato in 1940's Box(not the one I got from you) that I could trade + Cash for one in VitaFelt...???
