Does anyone else in Portugal wear cowboy hats?

Yes. On my apartment block another person wears one. He wore one of those ugly cheap suede cowboy hats until someone from Brasil returned home and gave him a felt hat. He allowed me to check it, the brand stamped on the sweatband was really faded but a "Made in USA" was there but not like any one I've seen before (Stetson/Resistol). I believe the felt is hare/bunny.
Other persons I spot here and there, sometimes I sent a lot of time without seeing one. Summer is when straw hats in cowboy shape appear more as the cheap ugly suede ones.
If anyone comes to my street and ask for the cowboy hat guy, everyone will point at me.
