I was thwarted out of my first hat choice by the weather again today. So I was FORCED to wear my Dobbs Twenty today. Oh, the humanity! Lol!
Great hats today as a close to the year!

Borsalino Ludola in the elusive Bismuto color which is grey that is kind of greenish, kind of brownish

is it strange that seeing that bash makes me want to touch some of my hats ?

... not even rebash them .... just feel them in my hands

I dunno... I can't explain it

Lovely color. I think you will get a lot of dates when you wear this hat. ;^)
For the era, 1920s - early 1930s. If you can safely read the LOTXXXX number on the inside of the sweatband (usually found toward the front of the hat) we can put it in the timeline. There are a number of these posted to the sweatband stamp thread. Would also be great to see the size sticker and manufacturing tag if still present after the dazzerdog updates.
Thanks Alan. Put pics in the Sweatband Thread. I can only make out 3 numbers.

You can tell just looking at pictures of quality felt how easily it molds and feels. Tommy's hat makes me want to touch my Open Road:)

Just completed the last gymnastics practices for 2015. Staff and athletes have tomorrow off. I am enjoying the moment in the backyard starting to grill a lamb roast for late evening guests. Going to celebrate the past year and optimism for 2016.

Wearing a vtg. Adam Mainstreet. Got to love a unique big brim vintage.

I really haven't thanked Everyone enough for all the kind words this year. Thank You, Everyone.

I chose that Borsalino as my year-out hat for the uniqueness of it. Super thin, light and moldable and a razor sharp crease unlike anything made today. That's not that I don't keep buyng new hats hoping they rediscover the recipe

Lovely Adam, Eric. A very unique hat, and I always enjoy seeing it on your head.

Aaron that planter is killer. Is that a new one or vintage? Never heard of that model before.

Thanks, Perry! Early 50s. It's the only one I've seen, although I seem to recall that RLK has one, too, if memory serves. It's got a 3 /4" brim and a high crown. The felt has that dense, clay-like feel that just conforms to anything you as of it.

that Dobbs has my heart pounding

Thanks, Anthony. You've built up your own enviable collection in no time!

Cheers,
A
