Great hats posted since then (as always). GD two very nice thin ribbons - I can't believe I've never bought a MiamiB hat - he sells a ton of beauties in my size, too!

Two hats so far today. As soon as it was light, I walked the Trinity Trails up to the Ft Worth Stockyards, then home via the Tarrrant County College campus near us. Hat is my Garrison Hatters Raiders

After that, I was ready to set out on a mission to the Justin Boots outlet store and to find the only Dunkin' Donuts in Ft Worth.

Successful on both counts

I wore a Stetson 25 for this job

Been meaning to ask, BTW, but what's the felt like on Garrison Hatters? The Bogart captured my eye, but the felt looks kinda stiff. Is it soft, or stiff, and do you think it's worth the price?

Wow, what colors are in the Cap? My computer shows something like a black/grey fleck in your picture. Looks like a nice heavy texture. Is that from J. Cordova? I should check that out as I am sure Daniel would LOVE to have a Cap that looks that sharp.

LuvMyMan; Check with Cordova Caps as this is a "modern fabric" and he has it in stock. The black grey fleck, better seen in the pic below is VERY easy to work with a varied wardrobe as I am sure your husband has.

I decided to follow David's example to day and go Indy. It's actually raining in West Texas so out came the Fed IV.

Bushman, my Garrison hat (which is David's rabbit felt) is really soft - good quality all around to be honest.

As well as having a nice feel, the felt is pretty tough as well. I have a couple of other Indy hats (a Penman and an Adventurebilt) that I keep for best, so the Garrison is my outdoor hot weather/snowy weather hat and it has done really well for me for about three years now.

When it gets too messy, I wash off the sweat stains and it is good to go again.

Like DJH I have several INDY style hats but none I like better than my Garrison.Tell Dave what you want and odds are he'll produce for you.

Good eye! The hats worn in the show have a custom (and higher quality) band not available for retail sale.

Another interesting tidbit is the Stetson Marshall that is currently for sale has a 4" brim, when Givens hat is 3.5", or smaller as there are reports that it was cut down a bit.. There are also rumors that the show hat is a custom Stetson Carson in Silverbelly, but I don't think so because Silverbelly is a very light, almost white color and Givens hat looks more tan.

Anyway, I like the bigger brim on the retail hat because I can pull it off at 6'4" lol. Also, anyone looking to buy one of these be prepared to have it reshaped. Out of the box it looks nothing like the show hat.

Yes I know all that also. A very very similar Raylan hatband is sold but can't remember exactly who was, maybe gtdean48?
And I also favor a 4" brim to a 3.5", that is why I'm not interested in a Raylan hat (maybe only on the hat band but that's it).

What is best than a 2 hat day? A 3 hat day!
At first the 20XB Black Gold Resistol was still stuck on my head...

but was able to remove it for this Resistol Stagecoach.

In the afternoon I choose this Stetson 4xB Tom Mix to go to the my Train simulation association. Received good compliments on it there.

Roger - I like that Fed IV. We had rain overnight here - still a bit murky this morning too.

Joao - tough to beat a three hat day. I particularly like the Stagecoach from yesterday.
