Alan;
That duplex is amazing, looks great on you.
BTW , did you see what happened to the solar flux index today---164?
10 meter band was open. Strange solar cycle.

Thank you everyone...it is a chore all on it's own to help him get up and dressed, but we manage....he sure does miss a lot of being able to do things, but he has little to no ability to control his hand movements, so...no typing yet! But...he sure can smile! LOL

Wow! That silhouette is perfect - the lines of that dobb are just spectacular. There's something about vintage hats that can't be duplicated and I think your hat, Amplified, serves as an ideal example. I called my wife to have her look and she just rolled her eyes like "you and your hats". Well, I may be new here but I sure got the bug bad. I'm not sure where I can find hats like that but I'm gonna try.

Now... if only I can learn how you make all those fine bashes by hand. I have a hat I acquired out of the bay that I can't seem to get quite right. Further proof my obsession - and collection - is slowly growing. I tip my hat to you all.

Dan

Thanks, Dan! Funny enough, my wife used to say the same thing. I don't usually show her anymore. :) My Dobbs TWENTY is a nice hat, indeed. I found it online for a great deal a couple years ago. Since it's black, I don't wear it as much as my others, but when I do it's pretty special.

I got in to vintage hats almost 5 years ago. You'll get your first vintage hat and really wear it out. In a good way, of course. Then you'll get to know some of the 'Loungers, especially the ones that sell some hats from their collections. Eventually, you'll start buying, selling, and trading hats. It's very addictive and very fun.

I wish you well on your hat journey! :thumb:
