In other words, it's just now getting broken in. :)

In other words, almost perfect. ;)

I wore the VS Silvermist most of the day today. The featherweight felt was perfect for temps in the low 80s.

Beautiful hats everyone!! My signal is very poor from where I Am but from what I can see, everyone is picking some stand out lids, and I am enjoying every one!

Not a hat, but a head convering nonetheless.. I look forward to wearing my felts in the near future.

It sort of looks like suede, which I'm often reminded of with brown hats.
There are also "silverbelly suede". This have a nice brown color.

Nice ones Joao, Aaron and David!
Bluegrass (like you, David) :D Akubra Campdraft
Thank you and nice campdrafts you both have.

Custom 100X belly beaver from J.J. My first felt fedora!
Nice color combo. It must be nice to have a 100x beaver custom for first hat.

I look forward to the time I'll have a hat long enough for it to be well and beautifully broken in like yours!
Wear one constantly on all weather for some years and you'll get there.

Not a hat, but a head convering nonetheless.. I look forward to wearing my felts in the near future.
Still a hat Justin.

Joao - you look good in brown and black
Time for a lighter color? ;) Thank you.

My wife and I went to the christening of the newest Goodyear blimp yesterday.

First, we had to drive the story 10 minutes to Goodyear headquarters. The hanger in nearby Suffield Township was going to be very secure for the launch, so a ton of super nice shuttle buses transported the 1000+ of us who had stood in line a few weeks ago to get tickets to the event the 15 minutes from the industrial area of Akron where GY sits to the rural hanger location.

There were a couple of food trucks, a couple of free stuff/water/doughnut stands, and a GY stuff stand. A zydeco band played for hours on a large 4.5 foot high stage with the full lighting set up (despite the fact that it was 8am. The hangar doors opened at 10 am, and it was pretty impressive to see such a large structure open so quickly and quietly. Being the shameless people that we are, we practically ran to be up front, right against the bank-style rope that kept us just out of reach of the "important" folks like senators and such. At least 5 security agencies were there, including secret service for the politicians, homeland security because it was an air launch, two different county sheriff's offices, and a private security firm.

After the christening, we all moved outside to watch the blimp get slowly pulled out, turn slowly around, and slowly take off. In the modern world, this is a painfully slow process.

Right about that time, they started announcing who won the ten tickets for a blimp ride that were being given away. The last name was called and it wasn't us.

Disappointed, we got in line for the free photo (greens screen to look like you're in the sky with the blimp). I told my wife how it would be funny if, like in Willy Wonka, one of the winners was a fraud and we actually won.

Craziness happened.

An announcement from the stage said that there was another flight being given away, and it was going to me.

I sprinted from the photo booth, across the field, and jumped on the stage. Other winners had slowly approached the stage and quietly accepted their prize, but I don't roll like that. I hooped and hollered as I ran, jumped on the stage and, waiving my cap to the crowd, hoisted my arms over my head like I'd just won the world series.

It turns out that a guy had claimed a ride for his daughter who was out of town. The rules were pretty clear that you had to be present to win, so I won that flight.

We'll get to fly sometime in the next year. All we have to do is call in to get the flight schedule and select the one we want to take. I guess the pilots are really accommodating and will -within reason- fly over nearby sites that you want to see.

You can call me Charlie, and my wife and I are gonna check out those snozberries.

Now that I have a better look at your hat, I'm wondering if a pug wouldn't work better as opposed to either a thin ribbon or a mid ribbon. It looks like an Outback style hat and a pug would look really good on it.

Some minor re-adusting to the brim and change out the crown crease to a Center Dent and a new pug to get it looking similar to this one, except for the color that is....

I was bicycling all day today, hence the headgear w/ scarf over the ears. I went to Staten Island and rode around the circumference. Towards the southern tip near some marine repair facilities and abandoned power plants, I discovered the most amazing thing - well, for Staten Island. A tiki bar!

I am wearing my Country Gentleman 'WILTON' fedora today. This is one of my favorite fedoras, I wish CG also made it in grey.

Splendid hat. You look like you could be on a British drama!

Bluegrass Whippet this afternoon

David, FYI, your BG Whippet was an inspiration for me to get a bound edge on my Borsalino Savoy!

Custom 100X belly beaver from J.J. My first felt fedora!

Great hat! It won't be your last, that's for sure!! :thumb:

This is my "work hat", an old, worn out hat from Miller that I've had for close to 10 years. The crown is all misshapen, the lining is falling out, and the sweat band has just about disintegrated. In other words, it's just now getting broken in. :)

A trusty ol' friend!

That's perfect summer weather right there. Nice choice.

Thanks for all you do, Justin!! No matter what you have on your head! :eusa_clap

Christy's linen cap for Friday... Saturday Fed IV

Two STELLAR lids!! I'm really diggin' the non-fedora shots lately.

Looks like lots 'o' fun. And you two look like lots 'o' cool!! :)

Thanks for sharing the great pics!!

Batsakes (Gus Miller) Panama

Absolutely terrific hat, Mike. You wear that very well, my friend!

Stetson Bantam today

A fine choice today, Harv. Looks good on you.

Today I wear a boater hat for first time. Cool hat, I like it.

I like it, too!! The striped tie really brings it all together. :)
