I forgot this pic. We stopped back by Bass Pro in Manteca. I love this old truck, wish I had one just like it:

Thanks - I've noticed on a few photos my hats look smaller on screen than in life - does anyone have any tips for minimizing distortion?

Use of longer focal lengths tends to be more flattering for portraits, with much less distortion. It's more difficult when taking selfies, of course, but any extra optical zoom you can add will help. Standard portrait lens length (35mm format) is 85-90mm, as a guideline.

Also note that the favorite one of the two was taken from further away, which reduced the lens distortion from the wider angle lens (another approach to the problem).

But you needn't worry, Mano... You already look mahvelous!

Your posts and hats are great, sir.

Thanks - Yes a longer focal length would help - but with my big head I need the width :)

Some peoples selfies seem less distorted - it might be holding the camera higher?

My vanity has some bounds, it's purely in the interest of the hats I assure you :D
