We went to an antique auction and got some goodies today. Portis again with Cricketeer tweed sport coat and Countess Mara tie.

offcoursemyhorse, Justin, monte, simmo and Rusty, my sincere thanks to all for your kind words about the Borsalino Kashmer Cap. I have about 20 Caps, one Cordova most Stetson, Wigens and City Sport, but
the Borsalino Cap is different in style and fabric. Looks more sportive and the fabric is so soft you don't feel it on your head!

Monte, great looking combination with your Portis. That sounds good. It's always a interesting thing a antique auction.

Bruce, no photo but that sounds good! An Optimo Derby looks great!

Lauro, I am a fan of your hat Style, nothing for me but you look great under your Stetson.

David, always a pleasure to see the Pecan Tumwater, looks very good!

Justin, great hat that looks perfect on you!

Tom, fantastic Carson with great hatband!

Robert, fantastic Resistol, shape and bash are perfect.

Phineas, nothing could bore us. It's always nice to see you, and your hats

What Manfred said! Nice cap Manfred, bet it's warm and soft. Inspirational hats all around as usual gentlemen. Been a busy day but got my wife to take a quick snap of my one and only Huckel (so far) courtesy of our friend Manfred.

I'm wearing my modified Banjo Patterson, remodeled to have grommets for ventilation, the brim cut to 2 12, and a ribbon vs the leather hatband.

Chicago!

I made a trip to Optimo on Saturday with fellow Lounge member Mulceber, to the downtown location in the loop. I ended up ordering a fino montecristi in anticipation of summer, and Mulceber bought himself a 1000 in silverbelly.

Mine is identical to this, although I ordered it with a darker ribbon, named 'nicotine'. It's a charcoal grey with some warmer undertones.

It comes in at around 750 wpsi.

The lighting got messed up in this shot but it shows the weave a little closer.

This is the new ribbon.

Mulceber ordered a Cagney 1000 in their undyed silverbelly, with a fantastic dark navy (nearly black) vintage ribbon.
