Thanks Seabass, RBH, Rogera, Randooch, Chepstow and Scooter.

RBH, Chepstow and Hatophile: Thanks for your opinions on the best look. IMO It's a hat that goes well up or down. During the day if I'm out and I want to block the sun then down obviously makes more sense. It is one of my best fitting hats, mainly because it's one of my oldest and has the most actual wear by me. It's conformed over time to my head size.

Thanks Brando... I got a thumbs up from the family on this one today too. Rare for them to comment. A very modest 1940s Stetson still packed a punch. That maroon ribbon is a crowd pleaser.

Tom, Your VS Pecan ArtLite Wanderer looks great! I really like the mid ribbon (also my choice today) and bow work!

Perry, Fantasticc VS Gatemouth/Honeyboy! I am sure Gatemouth would love it!

David, Same as Tom. Really like the mid ribbon and contrasting binding!

Case, Your Campdraft looks super brim up or down!

Alan, Your Royal Stetson Vita-Felt Process is a total knockout! I love Homburgs!

Today I'm wearing my early 50's Stetson St. Regis that I converted quite some time ago. Yesterday I decided on giving it a different flange style. I wanted something a bit different looking from my standard hat style. I bought a flange that was marked "Swing" quite some time ago and thought that this hat would look great with that type of swung back brim. The style is almost identical to the style that Knox had in the late 30's called the "Backswing." Its essentially a very high rear flange but the front of the hat has a much flatter flange so your able to snap the brim down in front. I really like it with a taller/straighter crown. Knox advertised their backswing with a shorter crown, and anyone that knows me will know that just wouldn't do. :)
