Here in Spain weather is still nice, so straw hats are still the adequate headgear.
Today it was my Stetson Andover - bicolour, black and grey. Provides good contrast with linen white jacket, too.

A few weeks ago...

I know I've not been around much... personal life issues have kept me from being in the right frame of mind, I guess (though I have been lurking.) A few weeks ago, though, my wife and I attended the wedding of one of our nieces. I decided that would be a great time to try wearing a homburg for the first time.

Rhonda decided to latch on to the hat I'd intended to wear that evening. So here we are, Rhonda in my navy blue Stetson Twenty with Mode Edge, and myself in a Stetson St Regis.

Our son wore his hat as well :eusa_clap :

One more shot of Rhonda in the Stetson:

I got it back for the reception, though!

Cheers,
Tom

Rusty that works in so many ways!:eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
kaosharper1...those are all great lookin' hats!

Thanks! The Sydney is an experiment. I remember seeing pictures of Astaire and Danny Kaye with wide-brimmed pork pies and decided to give it a try. I think it works pretty well myself. They Sydney is great for this type of experiment since you can change the bash just about any time.

On the, "Where'd you get it?" about the Stetson Medalist; It was one of a three hat lot on ol' EB. Two Medalists (on in Med Brown with a 'copper' colored ribbon) and the Warner.

On the nice compliment about "outfits"; thanks! I get all my stuff from thrift stores for $1 or $2 a piece! :D

Hey Torp' good to put a face with the name. Lookin' sharp there!

And 'hats off' to all the recent posts. There was a little lull there recently but, wow, too many great lids to comment on now. I liiiike it.

Two Hat Day Today

While doing demo on a rental property, I put one of my relatively modern Stetsons through its paces and this is the result:

Once I got home and cleaned up, I wore one of my grey Borsalinos to dinner (Oh yeah, that's my 'boy', Yowlie Puss, and a vintage Benrus watch showing in the picture as well):

Nice hat Rusty, is there any chance of pics of your full collection? I've seen pics in various threads and I think we have similar tastes in hats and brim/ crown styles. Putting them together would make a great reference without digging through the threads and I'm sure the other guys here would like to see them.
