Thank you, Bond. This is also one of my first ebay finds and one of my favorite hats. Very light with a 2" brim that some might call stingy.

It almost looks like a Marque velour, Alan. Very nice. (too bad it's brown )

It does have a wee bit of nap. A later featherweight that I have has even more... almost a sheared velour. I had them both out this morning and I decided to go for the brown one.

Yep the proportions on that one look perfect.
I prefer about a 2 1/4- 3/8 brim myself .
I Still haven't found a nice vintage one with that brim size in a color I like , but I guess that's the fun of the hunt.
