You may be right, DJH! Thanks for the kind words, everyone! I'm wondering, should I trim a quarter off that brim width? It's 2 5/8 and I'm thinking 3/8 would be better. Any thoughts?

I say leave it. It's a great looking hat and perfect for adventure travel as is.

Gave up the fedora for part of the day today

For most of today I exchanged my usual fedora for a more specialized piece of headgear: a mortarboard!

Later, after removing the regalia back at the hotel room, I switched to a Harvey Brothers fedora when we went out for a late lunch.
