Yeah plus howevermanyiam! I need to find me a nice lightweight felt like that so when next summer comes I can mix it up a bit with my Panama. I love the vent holes and that band is gorgeous!

Alas, no Mendelssohn, but any number of his string quartets or the octet would have fit in nicely! I think 2 hrs of chamber music on a Sunday afternoon is enough for most folks, though.

I ran home at lunch to retrieve my new ebay score Knox Premier from the mailbox. I pulled it out of the box, hit it with a horsehair brush and my handy dandy new steam wand, then ran back to work. WOW, this is a big beautiful hat! Brim is 2 3/4", crown is almost 5" with a teardrop crease in it. It's a 7 1/8 long oval, but it's a big 7 1/8, it's almost too big on me, I might even need to put a bit of felt behind the band.
