Robert, Sharp cap! Great mix of colors. Details please!

Daizawa, Fantastic Knox Cuenca! +1 regarding the ribbon.

Kurt, Super + Unique Biltmore! Tall crown + brim width really work!

150719541: great photograph. Like father, like son. I am glad you are carrying on the tradition.

Steve: super velour. The feel of velour always amazes me.

Lefty: Now, you know I like that hat.

Mike and I had a great time seeing John again.
At lunch John and I walked to the corner cafe. We stopped at an antique shop.

We found a treasure trove of hats there!!!

Gene the shop owner with more hats!

As is always my luck.. none fit me. One was Johns size.

After lunch,Jim [and his wife ] a new Lounge member from Minnesota stopped by the shop.

Jim and his wonderful wife ended up with 2 felts and 2 straws!!!
It sure was nice meeting both of you! I hope to see you both at Fedorafest IV !

After that John got to help on a few hats.

He also got to see the Major and Fallon sew on a bound edge.

It was great meeting up with John again! Here is a final shot of him wearing
the re-ribboned Stetson he had finshed at the shop.

Great Buckeroo shots, RBH. I love the way Mike Moore lets his customers get hands on with the hat making - that is so cool.
I wish I lived closer and I'd be over there for sure!
Hmm, FedFest IV....

RBH: those shots of Major Mike Moore's shop are fascinating. This is the first time I have seen a hatter sewing an edge onto a brim. Mike is very generous in sharing his trade secrets. Maybe it would be my honor that he and I will meet someday.
