I like the looks of that one, Rodkins. Can you put up a profile shot?

I broke out a couple of summer hats this morning. It looks like the weather is finally going to warm up here. From the looks of those clouds, I'd say I won't be wearing this one very long today though. This one was blocked and finished by Tom-N-Perris. I haven't talked to Tom in a while. Hope you're doing well, Tom.

Whew...there's been a LOT of great hats the last couple of days :eusa_clap. That Tom-N-Perris rework looks fantastic, Bob!

For the first time since before FedoraFestIII, I've been able to relax for the weekend. Basking in the sun in the Buckaroo Hatters Moorelite. Recently, I've come to think that this is actually the silverbelly felt color, not Bone.

Indycop, Delectans, DRB: thanks for the kind words gentlemen. :yo:

And Indycop, it’s the only picture I’ve bothered to hang up; you can’t go wrong displaying one of the greatest pieces of American art ever produced. :usa2:

Poor first photo, but I was wearing my reworked Dobbs Shantung today around the house since it was pretty nice hereabouts.

Steamed it up, got it a little wet, and gave it as sharp of a pinch in the front as I could get it to take (which wasn’t much) and a couple of side pinches in the crown to try and lessen the appearance of tapper. Still too much for my eye, but it’s the highest crown hat I have, so I guess I’ll keep wearing it until I can replace it with something nice and boxy.

Over the weekend I found this Stetson Open Road at a local antique store for $10. I didn't think I cared for the style but was not going to pass it up for the price and the fact that it actually fit. After trying it on I really do like the look.

It still has the JBS hat pin

I had to wear out to dinner that very evening. I also have on one of the ties that I purchased from Widebrim.

Thank you all for the comments. I'm still trying to accept that I really did find a hat in such good condition for, what seems, a steal of a price.

alanfgag- The inside is very clean including the black leather sweat band. There is no lining, is that common? I tried to take a photo of the inside but the picture quality was horrible.

I don't know much about the Stetson Open Road hats. Was this style very common? I've seen several photos with men wearing the style, or a similar style.
I thought it was the Open Road style but had to do a internet check to make sure. ;)

The beautiful straws from Alex, B.J., Bob, Mike, monbla256and Rusty have me itching to bring mine out, but alas, up north this weekend it was still fur felt weather.

Looked like a gorgeous day for a walk with your dogs, David, and the scenery at Mine Falls Park is extraordinarilly idyllic. Great looking hat, and wonderful photos! Love the one with the wind trolley in action.
