Alan, your pictures are always terrific. There is a quiet, reflective quality to many of them including this one.

I must say, however, that this is not among my favorites of your hats; I think a wider brim suits you much better-

Thx-

Thanks for the feedback... much appreciated.

This is a 2" brim... I'm comfortable here, but the few stingy brim fedoras I have are not looking as good to me now. And the westerns, which I shied away from at first, are becoming my first choice. But I'm a rookie... there's always next week!

cheers,
Alan

What a great assortment of hats these past few days. I’m really liking those wide ribbons. :eusa_clap

Sporting my Dobbs Gay Prince today.

That hat with that vest is the perfect combination. Could be terribly flamboyant, but instead it works well.

That’s a great one sir; I really like the splash of color in the ribbon.

B.J. -- that cap suits you well.

Thanks JTL. With the exception of cutting wood today out at the wildlife preserve, I’ve been wearing the cap in place of the stocking hat this winter.
For me, the Nostalgia tonight. Wanted to try and mix things up but nothing I own can compete with it - at least not yet.

I just used my 2 week R&R to meet up with the family in Orlando. Here we are on our last day in Universal Studios, about to go into the Harry Potter World. I brought along my Loden-colored Akubra Lawson for the trip, which served me well, all the days in the parks.

EDIT: Huh... not sure why the pic is showing up so small. It's saved much larger in my Photobucket account.

Today I wore my Tonak, postwar velour...

Alan, that Tonak is Beautiful. Just another example of the high quality craftsmanship that Austrian/Germans hat makers put into their hats. The proportions of that hat are perfect for your face. Very well done. :eusa_clap:eusa_clap

Impeccably dressed, sir!

Agreed! Great suit/vest/hat combo. Ive always loved vests under double breasted suits. I dont think enough modern day suit makers make enough double breasted suits period, let alone a double breasted suit with a vest. I'm still waiting to see a modern suit maker make a double breasted vest with a double breasted suit. Thats a look that has to come back.

Thanks, B.J.. 'Flamboyant' is probably one of the more measured descriptors to come to mind when folks refer to the G.P.!

There is something really stunning about the leather of that sweatband. Would love to have a leather jacket of that color.

Thanks Dan, It is an especially handsome sweat - more mahogany than cordovan, as it appears in this photo.

Thats a 12 cylinder Packard of a hat! I also love the scarf. Any chance the scarf is a recent purchase and I might be able to find one?

I wish I could direct you to it, but my clothes buying period (save hats, of course - a new weakness) was all pre-K (before kids.) This is a nice German made wool/chenille mix - can't remember where I got it.

Thanks for all those cylinders, Buler. Before I moved my business to it's current home in a converted Model T factory, we were located in the offices of the Pierce-Arrow Motor Car Co. I spend a lot of time around car ghosts.
