Today I played dress up with my 15 year old daughter. I wish I hadn't cut off her Cat in the Hat T-shirt. Lee Trinity that I've had for a long time. A few other dress-up pics here.

Thanks Dan. I do enjoy trenchcoats and rainy days. With the heavy winter overcoats I usually get a “you look just like a corrupt party boss” comment. Bad for business.

I love the look of that Penman by the way, it does seem to look better every time you show it off. I have decided that when I order my first custom hat, it will be a Penman. They just seem so durable and good looking.

Thanks BJ. I think that this trip to Portland really helped in settling the shape into the crown. Some rain and handling really did the trick. You can't go wrong ordering from John either. They are very durable and it looks like his color selection has expanded. I think that I might go for the green or navy fedora the next time I order from him. Of course I've been coveting the whiskey color lately. So many choices, not enough moolah!

Haven't been taking too many pictures lately, but here is one we used for our Christmas cards this year.

Over the past few days I've found taking it off single-handed like in the movies goes over well with the ladies about town, another reason to do it. ​

Well, then save that gesture for when they are present. Otherwise, save that crown by using two hands!

These weren't today but they are close. The first is Christmas Eve(afternoon if you want to be technical), last minute touch up shopping in Portland. OR.

Needless to say the Penman got plenty of rain this last week up there and is none the worse for the wear. It's actually looking better and more familiar.

I do not yet own a custom hat but a Penman Raiders in another color (I have two brown hats), maybe that oxblood setup from Public Enemies (?) would just make my day.
