Steve, that hat looks in fantastic condition for 1930's ! The felt and ribbon look new. Congratulations

I have had this one for a while. I don't believe there are any other J. Heinr. ITA hats on the FL. It is probably late 30s and in very good condition. Here is a shot of the liner and sweatband.

Nice, RBH. You don't look so cold. We, on the other hand, were outside just long enough to snap a few photos.

Stetson Beaver 100 - still pretty snug, and not allowing for any further stretching without a strong possibility of disaster.
As much as I hate to say it, this one might be on the market soon.

Knowing that you have expressed reservations about stretching hats in the past I was rather surprised to hear you were going to try to stretch this one.

Nice photos of you both (as always) ...

Great stuff everybody! Bart I have that same throwback jersey, good choice!

I hope everybody had a nice Thanksgiving, I certainly did.

Congrats Mr. Paladin!

Everyone here seems to be as great as they look. It's always a pleasure to visit The Lounge, the best entertainment on the internet.

Lefty, sorry to hear about the hat not working out. Must be frustrating. At least you know it will fetch a pretty penny with the "Lefty seal of approval". I will try to miss that auction, if you cant give it the stretch, because I'm in enough hot water right now with two new hats and a new rifle. I've got no "marital capital" to spend so I'd rather not be tempted!

This was Thanksgiving, with my Art hat. Sharing a cigar and a drink with my grandfather, uncle and uncle's son. A poignant moment since my grandfather (the WW2 P-38 pilot) is 89 and in failing mental health.
