A lot going on today. Started out going to the store with my Black Sovereign Chatham. It is one of my beater hats I've had it for years.

I'm fair to middlin'. Had rotator cuff surgery three weeks ago and have a couple more weeks in the sling. Five more months before I'm allowed to return to full duty. The upside is, I've been on the Lounge a lot more but it is hard to get to some of my stored felts!

Thanks to ya'll for asking!

Hope you have a speedy and painless recovery Mr. Paladin. Glad to see you on the Louge a lot more though.

Cavanagh back two weeks, ago in Edinburgh. Took some time to get the b&w film and the silver gelatine prints developped :)

Dreispitz, for me this is the official "Hat of the Day!" That's a beautiful Cavanagh, with classic center-dent and subtle side pinches. Bravo:eusa_clap

Mayser, nice Echter Borso - Can I ask what does the Echter portion of that mean?

Billy, welcome back, and Mr. P, I have always like a Hanover Square since seeing HP Gene's. Nice one!

WOW Steve, another brown knockout fur felt today. I love that Disney!!! There's that wide ribbon I was talking about. I have a Disney homburg with a 2 1/8 inch ribbon, is that ribbon 2 1/8 inches wide too? I don't think i've ever seen a box design used with that thick of a ribbon before. Awesome.:eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap

Echter means Real/Authentic/Genuine Borsalino. Stamp against the copy cats! :)

This is the sweat from the posted hat. This one is from the 1930s.

Mayser also often used Echter. This one is late 1950s early 1960s.

Josh, Thanks! :) The ribbon is exactly 2 inches. I actually found this one at a local antique mall. The ribbon and bow work are really something. It also has a Cav edge.
