Wore my Stetson St. Regis to church, not during the service, of course, as a gentleman should be obliged to do. As a matter in fact, afterwards a man driving by had complimented me for it, and wondered where I bought it, as he mentioned he should get one some time. Well, I told him I found it off of eBay. It sure is competitive!

I like it this way the best yet. It is starting to just look really natural. I think you have got the shaped nailed now.

Thanks. I think in that shot the brim is still turned down just a bit, but I'm wearing it higher now. That said, I think it looks good, and quite natural here; agreed. I can't help but point out though, how crooked my ears appear in relation to the hat. One is lower than the other, and that is the result of a surgery years ago. I'm pretty sure tilting the hat to the left (and not the traditional right) may remedy that.

Donned the antique panama again today to head off to the local Farmers' Markets. Turns out I misspoke about this hat last time. It's not a refurb job at all. It was part of a stock of near 100 year old hat bodies from a New York hatter that went out of business in 1915. Tom Gomez has done a great job creating this hat out of that old body.

Many thanks Mayser and Mr P. It's become an instant favourite. I reckon it will be my go-to summer hat this season. In fact, I wore it to work again today.

I REALLY like that red band !! I never would have thought of that color on a Panama !! It ALL works so well !! Is'nt it Sunday in Brisbane so why did you have to work (to make a living DA :) I do understand :) )

It's actually Monday in Brisbane - at lunchtime as I write - so off to work I go.

And yes the ribbon grabs me too. It's more maroon than red but hey - I'm sure some colour consultant would have a fancy name for it. Red will do.

Today I played the Pipes and put on a program for the ladies of the Daughters of the Nile. So for today it is full formal Highland Dress. gillies, kilt, skin doub, dirk, seal sporran, Prince Charlie with Vest my Grandfather's pocket watch (with Knights Templar fob) vintage Masonic Shriners cuff links with my Temples Name and to top it all off a Diced Balmoral with Clan Shaw cap badge. Oh and don't forget our 6 month old Puppy Daisy.

Love the full dress Jedwbpm. As soon as I saw the pictures my mind began to play the Skye Boat Song.

I wore my fawn collored Dobbs today. I'll get a picture on here one of these days. To church this morning, though, I wore a tweed cap that had belonged to my grandfather.
