Today the Akubra Federation saw great action... in the rain:

It was really soaked out there in southern California's rainy weather, but these pictures were taken three or four hours after having worn them outside, doing a little work.

I like your style my friend and more this jacket ¡¡¡¡

Thank you! This is a rather low-end G-1 jacket by Sporty's Pilot shop. Not Aero by any means, but it keeps me warm, and I've had a few friendly comments on it from strangers passing by. The hat of course, I've owned for nearly a year. That front pinch is slightly off-center. Personally I still consider this my "Indy-style hat," although it isn't a screen-accurate shape. I lowered the crown with a telescope and teardrop crease to suit my own face a bit better (the crown height is roughly 4 1/2 inches), not to necessarily go after the direct shape Harrison Ford looks good in himself. A real, proper Indiana Jones fedora, would shape-wise look a bit blocky and high on me, I think. Others can look good in that screen-accurate styling though!

I have always believe (to less I dress with my own ideas)wich each person has what to have his own style, don´t be imitator of any one. I am always dressed with a hat but casual any time, in winter with coats and jackets.
Cheers ¡¡¡¡ Be you self.

Your fedIV just keeps getting better with wear. I like the current bash a lot.

Why do you ask?

I like hand shaped hats that aren't symmetrical, myself. I used to be VERY picky about symmetry, and realized that when I'm picky they just look too prissy on me, so I've gone to a more casual approach. I know what you mean about Indy hats and screen accuracy. I thought I wanted that [screen accuracy], but once I attained it [a Penman], I realized it wasn't for me. It simply felt too costumey for daily use.

Thanks! The current bash is actually one I've had since mid June, right when I made the switch from center dent to teardrop. I like the fit of the teardrop shape better, it's a bit more snug, and the top part of it sits right on my head, rather than feeling a little loose. My center dent homburg feels right though.

Yes, I know what you mean. It can look good, but as far as I was concerned, I knew the height had to be taken down somewhat, to feel satisfied with it. I don't know where the pictures are, but you should have seen my first bash on it! It was very Raiders of the Lost Ark-esque. As far as symmetry goes, I like it, and I try to attain it if possible, but if it takes all too much effort, I just settle for slightly less. My hat right now definitely has that lived-in look, and worn qualities to it, I'd say.

mayserwegener , Steve just curious how you find these German, etc. hats. Do you import from a European Ebay?

The Good: I really like that hat that is on your avatar. Nice!
