I spent a small fortune on it, but it was worth it!

Cheers,

Nothing gets my blood pumping like a pristine open crown hat.

Wow.

Oh, yeah... I got extremely lucky here! An iSold It had a bunch of hats on ebay, and I won four of the five I bid on. The OR was one. There was also a Knox Twenty, a Knox Tom and Jerry, and a Royal Stetson. Three were from the same shop, all were pristine open crowns. I'm still amazed...

You're amazed? Anyone would be amazed! That hat is what vintage dreams are made of, or should it be, that hat is that of which vintage dreams are made?

Slightly cheaper to produce, considerably harder to sell.

Not neccesarily. I think an open crown hat would get enough business just among us hat enthusiasts to be considered a hit.

Needless to say it could appeal to the more casual crowd as well. A small card on the hat with simple styling instructions would be all that is neccesary...

Thank you gentlemen.
You look great and everything, that's a given. What I REALLY want to know is this - how the hell do you stay looking so cool, I mean in the original sense of the word, in New York 90 degree weather? Damn!

The clothing I have on is rather cool, linen trousers, cotton shirt and linen vest. The hat can be warm but I have a hanky in my pocket to wipe my forehead. I don't wear a jacket however I do keep one with me just in case.

I'm in L.A. and I haven't worn long pants or socks in months! But, then again, I pack quite a few more pounds than you. My envy knows no bounds.

I think people respond differently to heat. for instance, it's blazing hot over here right now, but yet the other day I wore a 3-piece suit and fedora...I can take heat pretty well.

Thank you Barry, that is kind of you.
I know what you mean Jerekson, I don't care for the heat but I can get used to extremes quickly.
