Carey -- To put it very simple: take a western and make it look like a fedora. That is, basically a conversion.

And to illustrate what I just said: We've got a whole thread here solely dedicated to that kind of haberdashery. Click right here.

What he said ^^^
It's basically a broad-brimmed outback hat with an inch taken off the brim, more height in the crown and the leather band replaced with a ribbon.

All the best Wildblue, perhaps you should slip a packable fedora into your kit, They have been seen around Baghdad in the past, it appears "brim-up" is the go and a rifle is the "must-have" accessory! ;)
