Josh, your Barrister is a really good looking hat. I suits you very nicely. Good idea on the ribbon if it doesn't make the crown look too much shorter.

Great photo frame!:eusa_clap

That's a Hipstamatic shot, a camera app for the iPhone. That looks like the Kodot film with a John S lens if I'm not mistaken. Very good shot, much better than any self-shots I've managed to take with it.

BINGO! :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

Fun this Hipstamatic thing, isn´t it? Trial and error and some surprise element to it. :D

Looks very much like my first Borsalino, I purchased when I was in Verona for a school exchange back in 1986.

Thanks very much suitedcboy and CRH. I really appreciate it. I literally spent over 4 hours, shaping, cooling, sanding, bending, etc. The current crown shape and brim shape is where I want it, but it still needs some work. I have to get the one stain out of the crown (its hard to see with the flash) and somehow find a new 2 or 2 1/8 inch ribbon to match the outer edge binding. I was thinking of taking it to optimo to have the ribbon replaced and maybe see if they can get the stain out. Its about the size of a dime. Do you guys have any tricks for getting stains out of felt without bleaching the color out?

Wow!, that was a lot of work and it really paid off. Why do you want to replace the ribbon? It's stunning the way it is. Do you like wider ribbons better? If that's the case then you'd be better off waiting for another lid with a wider ribbon - and that 2 cents worth I will offer for free. ;)

You got a stain on your hat? You should see some of the shirts I wear! - but I can hide them mostly under a lab coat. :D

Avoid K2R. It's more trouble than it's worth. I recently had good luck removing some heavy spray lubricant wind splatter on one of my Whippets with a combo of Scout spray and dry granules.

Over and out

I think I have a coup de coup brain injury from all the knock out punches around here!

:eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

I put a little brim tweak on this one today.
