Should find out in the next day or so. I did not realize until after it shipped but he was just in the next town over. I Would have offered to pick it up. I think first time that has happened to me.
I was thinking it might make a great Florida hat… looks like it’s already been here.. so we shall see.

Thanks Brent. I did not expect to be in the running on it at all… was really just watching it for fun. I was out and about and saw it was ending just threw in a quick “I’d kick myself if I didn’t” kinda bid and got lucky.

I'm trying not to buy hats (no, really). I don't need any more silver-belly OR style hats for example. I keep telling myself to only buy something I don't already have and really want. One of those on the want list for some time has been a brown bowler. This one popped up and was close to my size (I do have a few hats in this 7-3/8 LO size that I can wear). I paid more than I wanted to, but how often do these show up? Not as old as I had hoped (mid-50s would be my guess). Hoping it is a keeper ... and that it is truly a bowler (the auction house said that the crown was not soft/shapable).
