Oh I’m pretty sure that’s just a costume/tourist hat. Certainly no offense to be taken.

A couple of years ago, the company I was then with had assigned us all to team leaders called captains. So I bought our captain one of those and insisted he wear it all the meetings.

Way back at the end of February this year I mentioned I might acquire an Akubra Campdraft in the only color I don't have: Cedar Brown. Frunobulax was kind enough to prod me along with a pic of his Cedar Brown CD, and that photo actually tipped my decision. (If I could figure out how to link that post, I would. Page 351 in Akubra Overload). Today I finally placed the order after confirming that the hat is in stock with the ladies at The Hattery. Only took 5 months. Do not let it be said that I act on impulse.

Yesterday evening a Stetson Fifteen with Mode Edge was my hat choice for the cooler evening.

Early Saturday morning dog soirée in a Cordova Cap.

Cold brewed coffee on the deck in a vtg.Stetson Whippet in pine green.

Grocery store, hardware store and a stop at the butcher wearing a Newt Monti panama hat.

I cannot explain it but the first time I saw Gallagher smash the watermelon with the sledge I about pissed my pants in laughter. Still to this day one of the funniest moments ever (perhaps I need to get out more)......when I recall the moment I still laugh.

Hope they send you the size you ordered. I ordered a SB in size 58 from them and they decided to send me a 59. They were kind enough to admit they knew they were sending me the wrong size and hoped that it would fit. Of course it doesn’t and am stuck with a hat that doesn’t fit. That being said, I too ordered a Cedar Brown CD from them and was very pleased with the hat and the service. Still baffled at their service when I ordered the SB CD.

Yes, a perfectly-fitting size 58 arrived last Friday. That is weird that they would purposely ship an incorrect size.
