I've been hinting at it for a few of weeks by now, but now it's showable because it's almost done.

I specced out this hat in the exact colors and dimensions I want, based on everything else I have ever bought, owned, or seen that I've wanted.

Mikael tells me that he needs to define the crown a bit more, and that it still needs its liner installed. It should ship tomorrow.

I can't stop looking at it.

Does it really have the reverse taper the photos show? Beaver or hare? It’s certainly a good looking hat.

Thanks, it's a rabbit/hare blend.

I don't have it in my hands yet, but a feature of this hat (Leifur Lucky) by this maker are some exaggerated dimensions of the Raiders hat, mainly a really tall crown. Some of his posts on FL, as well as what's on his website, appealed to me very much.

In addition to colors, I specified the maximum height of the front pinch (lower than his higher-than-screen-accurate standard crown height for this style hat), and the widths of its dimensionally cut brim, all of it slightly smaller than the known dimensions of the actual Raiders Streets of Cairo hero hat.

The hat has no turn, though, as, to a hat, I feel that straight up fedoras look better on me than turned hats, Raiders-be-darned.

I own one of his hats in rabbit/hare blend and I like the felt. His sweatbands are super comfy, but not everyone likes their construction (I have no issues with it). My hat was a very simple affair, but yours is a real head turner. Can’t wait to see the review once you have it in hand.

I'm going to avoid tactile evaluations based on pictures, so I will wait until I have it in hand before commenting on the actual hat, itself.

I bought the hat based on the many photos I have seen of his work. Each one appealed to me greatly, in different ways.
