I’ve been keeping an eye out for a Brent. Cool to have a hat with my name as the brand. Yours looks great.

You pulled out all the stops, Max. Great haul. That blue Dobbs is an incredible hat.I figured out how to download Moon's Instagram pictures. I am posting all of them on this one, since I find it so beautiful.
Moon said this was one of his best hats.
And to think I only used to like Optimos. Was I ever so young?
Early 1950s OPS era Dobbs Cross Country.... extremely lightweight travel hat .

I think of you every time I see one now (which is not all that often)! I have (will have) two now.....ONE which will fit. The other is really nice with a unique ribbon. It does not fit (too small) but I cannot seem to part with it...... you can bet if I run into one that is too big for me....I WILL let you know.......because as you say...you DO need to have one!I’ve been keeping an eye out for a Brent. BB has the Churchill OR "50" so he may have more info. According to FL posters "HATCO" & "Mingoslim" the Churchill brand was created by Byer-Rolnick in the 1950's as an upscale line for Neiman Marcus. So that gives us a timeline from the 1950's to 1968. It has the black Churchill liner & original tags behind the sweat which identifies it as a Dalworth. It should be here late this wk & I'll have better pics then. How about an inside shot? I like that, these variations are very interesting. The 40 must be a higher end hat. Any idea of vintage?

I like the look of the Black Creek.Well I had to drop back and punt on one of my hats that I ordered last week. The Brooklyn Hat Company Sandoval grey hat I ordered arrived and it was way too small. No extra large size is available. So it returns tomorrow.

In it’s place I ordered a Black Creek straw in grey. Hopefully this one will fit my “big noggin”. I actually like the Black Creek better, at least by the picture. It is a light weight straw with a 2 1/2” brim and a 4” crown.

DD, I should have noted that when Byer-Rolnick created the Churchill line both B-R & Neiman Marcus headquarters were in Dallas. How about an inside shot? I like that, these variations are very interesting. The 40 must be a higher end hat. Any idea of vintage?

I saw Moon's message a half-hour after he sent it, and was scared he might have taken it for disinterest. Fortunately, he saw my multiple replies in time! All those photos look great, but the sunlight photo took my breath away. That felt really comes alive in the sun! You can also tell that it’s the dense felt we all lust for. Another score!

Thanks, I wish I had seen the Black Creek first that’s the one I would have picked. The price is $32 with free shipping so if it fits I’ll be happy with it. I’m kind of liking the metal feather as well.I like the look of the Black Creek.
Nice! Now this...Inexplicable connection to Homburgs of late. Have become accustomed to their style as dress and casual. This vintage Melton cannot arrive fast snuff! Pics to come in Melton and Homburg Nation threads.
Churchill Dalworth OR "40"
Between the two, so do I. The proportions of the taller and slightly less tapered crown and brim width are more aesthetically appealing to me.I like the look of the Black Creek.
