It really going to need a lot of cleaning, the stitches have pulled out of the sweatband joint and it was more than I wanted to pay, but I can't wait to get my hands on it. It left Florida at 3am today.

I think my Cavanagh came from the same seller. That Knox was tempting, but same color as my St. Regis so I didn't bid.... I'm glad you got it!

I've also got a new Akubra in transit, a Leisure Time in Regency Fawn. I got the ship notice from EA over a week ago, so I expect it to turn up in the next couple of days. This will be my first new country hat in over a decade... though there have been some fedoras in between.

I love my Leisure Time. Great hat for hiking.

That's one of the reasons I'm getting it. I've been using my (Glen Grey) Stockman as my cool-weather hiking hat and (Sand) Cattleman as my warm-weather hiking hat for around 11 years. The Leisure Time will coordinate with my brown/tan/OD jackets better than the Stockman.

But I also selected the Leisure Time because - with its modest brim and decorative band - I think it will be good for wearing around town too. (Understand that in this part of the country, where NOBODY wears western hats, anything with a brim over 2-3/4" reads as costume.)
