What hat are you waiting for today?

What size is it? Dibbs on it if it's mine

We need to verify that it won't fit me first (most likely not, but some 7-3/8 do work).

Oh boy not sure I want to know what a toe tag is.

Hat and band are coming separately, age of two a coincidence.
Seller wrote me band and tag had been boxed together for many years. SH Nite, owner of band and tag, lived from 1886 to 1964.

edit: more specifically this is what was included in band's description:
  • Metal ID Tag Included for Provenance: "S.H. Nite; Garden City, Kansas: 10-2-1918".
  • (S.H. Nite lived from 1886-1964. He was my great-grandfather. He purchased a pharmacy in Montezuma, KS. He married Nina Covert, who was from a prominent family in Garden City, which is not too far from Montezuma. Both Montezuma and Garden City are near Dodge City, KS, where Wyatt Earp and his gang lived.)
Seems like seller might have some facts mixed up. Just read on the web a "fantasy" toe tag being mentioned.

Appreciate your input, Jack,
Mike

I'm wondering if there could have been two S. H. Nite, father & son? What is interesting is that 1918 was the beginning of the Spanish Flu pandemic & it broke out in & devastated SW
KS starting in Haskell county, KS near Dodge City, one county over.

I have a toe tag. Let me think where it is.
