Worth it for the case alone. The brim on the topper looks a bit odd though. Hope that can be corrected. Another beauty.

Ja, the brim on the one side is bent. I wouldn't have gone for it but for the case.
At 50 euros, I couldn't resist.

Okay, okay, I'll admit I have a problem. I'll admit it to you guys. But I'm not saying a word to the missus. I have a nice, and favorite, Rose Selentino in brown, but I love the stingies, so here I am, doubling up on brown hats. A quick negotiation (I low-balled, the seller asked for another five bucks, and I said, "yes"). My first Champ; call it "sixties-era" with its short-brim. Looks to be in great shape, the sweat is a bit rough/worn in a spot, but the liner looks pristine. What really got me was the coin/pin. Says "1840" under the eagle.
Here's an actual 1840 half-dollar (reverse):

the coachman logos fascinate me. My "Royal Coachman" says 'by Dobbs' on the tip, but not on the sweat (although it does have the logo/insignia and the words "Royal Coachman"). Here, you have the Coachman logo/insignia and a stylized "Dobbs" but instead of "Coachman" or "Royal" or "Deluxe" or even some number of XX's, it gives the price (Twenty). Like, "we're above all that crap, it's a twenty dollar lid." and that's all you need to know.
And then here's a Champ I was looking at online (not my size) that has a coach pin!

This old Resistol El Lobo is in rough shape so I won’t feel bad about stripping it and using it as a donor felt for a new hat.

The seller described it thus: “In fair condition. Needs shaping. No moth damage. No stains.” If this is “fair condition”….

I see nothing wrong with re-working that hat and making it your own. At the very least you'd be giving it new life!
