True or not....THANK YOU!!!!It is a small 7 1/2.
Looks like you maybe scored a Kingston, a forerunner to the Open Road. I do believe I have seen them offered in Standard Quality.....GREAT SCORE!!!!!Stetson Standard Quality
This one will be too big for me. Gave a friend a heads up on it. But ended up too much confusion in the go between as he was not on the platform it was being sold through. I decided it was too cool to risk letting it slip away in the mean time.. and curiosity got the better of me. so it will be here for a while before I’m sure I will move it on.

Is there a thread for archiving Stetsons in general... for example a 60’s Royal Stetson, 50’s Royal Stetson Musketeer. I’ve found a thread specific for Stetson open roads.. and other brands. Dobbs Cavanagh etc.. but didn’t find overall Stetsons thread in general other than dating threads or specific hat and questions.Looks like you maybe scored a Kingston, a forerunner to the Open Road. There are several "model" threads, and some for style and date range (like pre-40's western or dress hats). Your best bet is to look for catalog listings. I started a Stetson ephemera thread that may be of help here, best to view in gallery.....Is there a thread for archiving Stetsons in general... for example a 60’s Royal Stetson, 50’s Royal Stetson Musketeer. Cool thanks. I was meaning more a place to post our Stetsons... like the Dobbs Diner Cavanagh Club or whatever just kinda surprised me not to see one that was all the Stetson hats. By the way.. the hat arrived today.. . so will post in New hats soon . Thanks again! There are several "model" threads, and some for style and date range (like pre-40's western or dress hats). It shows a lot on Stetson advertising, which shows models.....
Here is a (poor) image I took of a early 20's booklet "Stetson Staple Shapes" showing the Kingston. This hat was available for many years.....yours appears to be from the 30's - very early 40's.....

Very nice looking homburg. Several makers did the narrow brim binding. I have a Saks hat and believe that one was made by Knox. Also a narrow brim binding.Did you ever buy a hat because of the liner and you got curious as to who made it?
If so, this would be one of those.
