Good find, I've heard the Billy Kidd had nice felt, although I haven't handled one myself. Stampede string attachments could be useful when it's windy! Nice brim width!

I know. I have 2 of those The Billy Kidd. A brown and a navy blue. But with narrower brim

No, it's got to go. I've been wanting a good beaded band, maybe this hat would fit with it. The peyote band that bowlerman has is really nice!

I think it's an excellent candidate for a beaded band. But then, I think used dental floss would look better than that 1980s Suburban Cowboy crocheted band.

I already have a couple of SunBody hats, but this palm came up cheap and looks to be lightly used (needs a ribbon or band). It looks to be a Texas Hat Co. 10X of some sort. The leather sweat and the fact that is size 7 5/8 and not XL gives me some hope that it’s decent quality. The style, however, is a big stretch for me.

I just have a hard time passing up cheap hats in my size. I’m note sure when I’ll every wear this hat, but who knows?

Five months? Wow. Patience is not one of my virtues. Not that I have many.
I sometimes call Tiffani at Optimo and ask her to send pics of the hats she already has in the store in my size, and choose.

My Manhattan Aubergine is supposed to arrive tomorrow, BTW. I hope it is a little darker than the pictures in their site. They all have been before.

I was expecting three months, but he had a baby and some delays. Some makers wait times run in years! I don’t have that kind of patience. A lot of these hatters are one man shops and the more popular ones have all the work they can handle.

Your purple hat is incredible! I don’t know that I have it in me to go there. Wow! I bet it looks great in person and I’ll look forward to seeing the photos.
