Penman this morning.
I don't kno abt "chief enabler" but I encourage selective buying. The Deckard Whippet is a totally different hat then the open crown vintage whippets, so I'll definitly "encourage" you to try to find a vintage one as well...Yes he is one of the chief enablers around here. I'm looking forward to this one, can't see paying Ebay prices for a vintage Whippet.
Oh, an original Whippet is on my Dream Hat Bucket List.I don't kno abt "chief enabler" but I encourage selective buying. The Deckard Whippet is a totally different hat then the open crown vintage whippets, so I'll definitly "encourage" you to try to find a vintage one as well...

Lol.I know, Bob. A few, well, a lot of us around here just can't miss an opportunity to poke the bear.
That is a Pimpin' Cool hat, Red!Candy at the Outlet in TX was a joy to work with. Due in Oregon on Friday is my new Whippet. Bob's influence is greatly appreciated, I probably would not have pulled the trigger without his prodding.

Super find. I'm sure Steve will have the story on this German beauty. Congratulations.
Nice looking hat, Michael. It will be interesting to find out the measurements and see some head shots for perspective.
The finish looks sorta plush. Is it a type of velour?
