What Hat are you saving up for or, "WHAYSUF?"

I am at the point in my collecting that I struggle to decide which holes in my collection are calling out to be filled. And I need to sell off hats to fund the new purchase....mostly to create storage space.
At this time i have 2 hats from which to choose.
First is to get in Gannon's queue for a new build. I love his stock style, big boxy crown and perhaps a shark's gill ribbon (don't have one of those)
Or a modern Stetson (can't believe I am actually typing this!) NY LE Excellent quality beaver. I think it is not an either/or but more a 'which one first?'

If you are really thinking that you’ll end up with both, I’d say get the Stetson first as it’s discontinued and there’s no telling when you’ll find another in your size. As far as hats to wear: GANNON!

Yes, I am procrastinating weirdly hoping the Stetson sells and makes my decision for me!!!

Leaning toward a black homburg but I'm missing color in my hats so maybe a lavender, green or burgundy ribbon?

I'd save up for a Gannon, but every time I get to $50 I spend it on another old hat ...

crown as in tooth or crown as in King? Both are likely to take a huge chunk of your life to save for!!!

I agree with Brent. Get the Stetson. The brown excellent NY 7 3/8 on eBay isn't going to last for long and NOS is hard to come by with those guys. Your going to have to wait at least a few months for that Gannon with gills anyway. Go for it!

Stop it, just stop it! I have dealt with these guys when they went under a different Ebay name. Good vendor. I bought my two modern Anniversary Edition Stetsonians from them at a great price. They are my only modern Stetsons.
