I forgot to mention in my previous post that I like to collect old pop bottles. I have around 20 at the moment, I'm a Pepsi guy so mostly have Pepsi bottles...but my favorite is my Doctor Pepper as it's the same type as the ones in Forest Gump.

Bebop: Sea shells and rocks or stones is something I have enjoyed since I was a young boy. They are some of the most incredible works of art. When I walk along the coast, I get lost looking at what lies at my feet. I could spend hours exploring 20 meters of shore.

That's how I tend to view them - Nature's Artwork. I find seashells, coral, starfish, urchins and even crystals quite fascinating. I'm highly fascinated with nature. Like you I could get lost just looking around for seashells at a beach - just spend hours upon hours doing that.

I collect ancient Greek and Roman coins, French medals from the reign of Louis XIV to Napoleon III and British medals from George III to the Coronation of Elizabeth II. Along with assorted other European medals as I find them.

And for our American friends, George Washington before Boston, 1776:

The original gold medal was presented to Washington himself, along with a set of eleven silver medals commemorating various events of the War of Indepdendence, in 1790. The gold medal is in the Boston Public Library while the silver set is with the Massachusetts Historical Society. This bronze was struck sometime between 1830 and 1841 and is the closest one can get to an original, given that very few of the earlier bronzes survive (as few as three).

Vintage Hamilton watches from the 1920s until the early 1950s is one of my main fields in collecting things.
But I also collected AD&D books even while I wasn't an active player since 5 or so years.
Oh and I still have a growing collection of movies esp. those old film noir things but also every other movie I came to like (there are even some Land before Time things from my childhood here).
Then things about Indiana Jones like the gear and some props and comics and so on ...
I also have some coins of the greeks and romans, but that is also a part of my "education" since I studied ancient history and classical archeology.

East German made Merkel drilling: 16/16/7x65r. Most accurate rifle I own and its my "go to gun."

I picked up an interesting beater hammer shotgun awhile back but I don't have any pictures.

I've been a vinyl hound for a good quarter century, and DJing/writing about rock'n'roll, R&B, soul, 1960s garage punk, 1970s punk, funk, calypso, country, soundtracks, jump blues, western swing, European 1960s beat music, etc, etc, for all of that time.

Couple that with a serious reading habit (hey, I worked in public libraries for years), plus the accumulation of guitars'n'amps, and it's a recipe for a house packed with, ahem, 'collections'... luckily, my wife's nearly as bad... here are some shots of our place:

I fully intended to prepare an interesting post for this topic. However, after sitting here for about two minutes it dawned on me... I make no concerted effort to collect anything. All of my collecting habits occur in phases.

If I may be said to collect anything it could possibly be finely bound books. It gets quite expensive, but they are priceless to me.

I know I need to have Ebay and Etsy blocked can someone please instill parental controls I would like but do not need some vintage compacts or fountain pens my house is full and I am broke.

I'm always asking people to take control and change my Ebay password.No one seems willing as yet. I think they don't want to put up with my begging them to let me back in .

Oh, how I'd love an English Rose kitchen. *sigh*

We got ours off Ebay for £850 - basically, just save a search and you'll receive an email any time English Rose units appear... problem is working out how many units you need, and that they tended to be fitted to industrial kitchens (too many units!) or small offices (too few!), rather than regular homes...

They're really easy to fit, though. They look like a Lancaster bomber inside - all struts and bolts - so if you need the kitchen units in a different order, you simply unbolt 'em and then put 'em back together. Fitting our English Rose, I had two stripped bolts, which isn't bad for a 60-year-old kitchen!

I would say that you should try and get an English Rose kitchen with all of the handles intact, as they're v.hard to source. Dents and scratches, our kitchen has a few, and we could simply dis-assemble the inner & outer door panels and get 'em soda-blasted and resprayed if they ever get too far gone... cripes, it's 60 years old and even the drawers still run well! Even if you spent £1k on a quite knackered English Rose kitchen, then another £1k on stripping/respraying (or even new worktops), it'd still cost you less than an MDF monstrosity!
