Hey people,

I'm quite new to the forum and still owe you an introduction:
I am Konrad from Berlin and I love heritage clothing, raw denim, hats, leather jackets and all the good stuff that will last for generations.

Last Saturday I received a new AERO jacket. It's a 1950's College Jacket in Seal Vicenza HH ordered via Kentaurus in Cologne. I think the fit is great. My neighbour said it is too short, but considering it is a 1950's design it should not be any longer.
What do you say?

Vintage jackets fit shorter. Look at most old photos will show this. It definitely can look out of place in todays fashion. But if it works for you and makes you happy thats all that matters. Whether a jacket is too long or too short is totally subjective anyway. Theres the "correct" period look that goes along with the jacket; theres vintage inspired but still cut todays fit....then theres whatever the hell makes you happy.

Very nice fit. It's good on length. The knits create an optical illusion (people are looking at where the leather ends) but that looks about right. Even the sleeve length is perfect so you get some tucked in effect.

Great jacket, great fit, not at all too short imho. My congratulations to this fine piece!!

Kentaurus is a nice shop to visit by the way and Mr. Laskowski is a fine guy too.

I think it fits great in the shoulder and sleeve. That's usually the hard part. Length looks really natural, creating a kind of fitted look. It's good quality, timeless style, and it fits great. Win, win.

Perfect as is. If anything this style could be a fair bit shorter. I’ve always felt jackets with knits were meant to sit on the belt, not below it. That said I wouldn’t change the length in either direction. Your friend must have eyes that are too long.

Nice jacket, perfect fit and always a good idea to support Kentaurus. If you’re ever in Cologne have a Lokomarktes Stefan‘s shop(s). Really worth it.
Welcome, by the way!
