Since I wear my G-1 when I ride, I usually wear a Columbia zip-up, or when it's really chilly I wear a no-name fleece zip up. It gets in the 20s-30s here in Northern AZ in winter, and these make it bearable to ride with an 80mph wind chill. Those and a base layer long sleeve shirt under the zip ups really keep me warm.
By itself the G-1 is almost worse than not wearing it at all. Good for high 50s-60s when I don't need too much insulation, but any colder and just makes for a freezing ride.
