That is a whole LOT of cool! I LOVE the Tank Girl style o' drawing...wish I could manage it myself.

I work in animation here in Hell Lay...been a storyboard artist on many a tv show, including Pinky and the Brain, Scooby Doo, and even The Simpsons long, long ago. I mainly freelance from home these days, so I don't get to talk to too many people in person.

At night I play roller derby for the local DIY banked track league in town. I skate under the name, "Tara Armov".

Wow. How cool! My daughter would LOVE to talk to you! She is a huge Scooby Doo fan and is also an artist (she's only 8). And Pinky and the Brain is one of my all-time favorite cartoons. I think it's absolutely brilliant.

Hi RD,

Pleased to meet another Animation survivor, and another artist! LOL.. I used to work for Warners, and did some TV stuff for Disney, and Hanna Barbera in Oz. shudder... I must admit i don't miss it much.
Storyboarding is fun, but I prefer comics, as I can spend more time embellishing the art.
I've still got lots of mates working at places like Cartoon Network in London..

Tank Girl's going well... we have our own site now... http://www.tank-girl.com/

I also post lots of Tg stuff on my blog... http://rufusdayglo.blogspot.com/

La Julia, pleased to see another artist too! What sort of stuff do you make/do?

:) ruf

Now that the summer is over, I'm a full time student and expert drinker of Newman's Own lemonade. I'm still waiting for my paycheck on that last one.

My adult job is at the veterans' home as a nursing assistant.

I work most weekends at the zoo as a birthday party hostess.

And I volunteer at the Durham Museum in the soda fountain and at Fontenelle Forest with whatever seasonal things they need help with.

I stay pretty busy! :p

You are to be commended, as a nursing assistant at a veteran's home is a very important and very meaningful job.

I started my career as a nursing assistant at a state mental hospital, and 30 years later am the hospital's Safety Director. I know what it's like being a nursing assistant. There's not always a lot of praise (but there sure is a lot of work). But don't be fooled, the rewards you receive will be overwhelming. Your job is so much more important and does so much for so many.

Any way, I'm rambling on. I just wanted to say a "thank you" for doing the job that you do.

Former US Army officer. I currently work in the insurance field and am a part time historian and writer (I've done several magazine articles, assisted with books and TV shows, all on historical subjects. You might have seen me on Mail Call when it was still on, I was the guy talking about WW2 cartoonist Bill Mauldin):

Gunny Ermey? Nicest guy you'd ever meet. He literally dropped what he was doing (going over his notes on that clipboard) to take a photo with me. I got that picture and one at the tent set later on. In the photo with me in my WW2 HBT cap with my issued Captain's bars, he took one looked and said, "I've been outranked! Oh well, maybe outranked, but never outclassed!"

Just don't let him drive your WW2 Jeep. He would get pretty close to some of those lighting guys! :eusa_doh:

He was also at the Military Vehicle Preservation Ass'n conventionin Portland (OR) in August and he talked with people all day long. I've met more than a few film folks over the years, and he's the ONLY one who truly will drop everything to not alienate his fans!
Top knotch guy, all the way!

I am a Hospice Nurse. RN/Case Manager. I have been working in hospice for about 2 1/2 years now. I have both home care and facility patients in my case load. I love it.
