I'm heading to the NYCC, and San Diego Comic Con this year..very excited!
rufus.. who should be scribbling..

That goes beyond scribbling my dear. Although I'm not a huge comic book fan, I do luv me sum Tank Girl. One of my best lifelong friends from childhood is the creator/author/illustrator of the Footman comics.

I'm a jazz musician!

I'm the pianist, singer, and band leader of Sara & Swingtime - we will be 20 years old next year.

Strictly 1920s and 30s, I have no interest in post-war, bebop etc, yet.

I also have a day job in a related field, as the Administration and Facilities Manager for the Jazzschool, in Berkeley, which helps keep body and soul together and exposes me to lots and lots of other kinds of jazz and other musicians.

Sometimes I also get paid to lecture on 20s-30s fashion, hair and makeup.

I also do a bit of graphic design for the Art Deco Society of California, invitations, programs, etc.

Yo Ho Ho and a Bottle o' Rum

I'm a United States Navy Sailor. Stationed in Monterey, California to study a foreign language, then off to the Pacific Fleet sometime after August. I'd attach a picture or something, but it doesn't seem to want to work tonight.

One thing about studying psychology (neuro or otherwise) is we aren't likely to run out of things to study. [huh] :rage: :( shhhhhhhh

Please could you move here and drive my buses? I like cheerful peoples :D I'm always respectful of my bus drivers & the other passengers. Oh yes, I'm polite.

How about if I just come for a visit, or vice-versa? Knowing how important a friendly driver is to you makes it much more fun and easier for me.

I work in a maritime museum.

I *love* my job.

All the time projects cross my desk that I adore - not just conventional maritime history, either...although I do love having an opportunity to write articles on Edwardian mercantile marine officers. Costume, literature, art...it all ties in somewhere along the line. And we have constant interaction with members of the public - when I pick up the phone, it might be reception wanting to know if I want to have a chat to someone about an Annette Kellerman swimsuit or the M24 Submarine.

I've had the chance to explore everything from Ancient Egyptian Ptolemaic era underwater archaeoloy (we were involved in the UNESCO project) through to being encouraged to wear wearing 1950s vintage at the relaunch of a restored vessel of that era.

I work by the harbour, and I "mess around with boats" every day.

Anybody else have any ideas????

Miss 1929 - what a great "job" you have. Truly living your passion. I love the picture, the 3 of you look very happy.

Me, I am the controller and general manager at an independent set construction company. I love it, the people I work with are like a family to me and we've all worked together for 12+ years.
